The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed about the substantial range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack sassa status of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the status sassa area regularly. The company stage produced for intervention experiences a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all status sassa people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
